  • Jimmy Buffett is pretty public about his life and has written some books of his own so I wasn't sure what more Mr. White could tell us that all of us Biloxi, Mississippi parrotheads didn't already know.I have to say the book itself was a little dry. Jimmy Buffett is fun, a beach bum, a pirate and bigger than life. It's always a good time with Jimmy around.I just really didn't care for this particular account of his life so far. I didn't feel any of the electricity that follows Jimmy everywhere h [...]

  • I am a huge Buffett fan. I was not impressed. Book rambled. I felt as if it could have had a better flow, maybe even in chronological order. I need a flow chart to keep characters stright!!

  • Good readThis was a decent book, but it was hard to keep up with so many characters, and it sometimes didn't seem to flow very well.

  • As a lover of all things Jimmy Buffett, I couldn't say that I didn't like this book. I found it hard to follow the narrative. There was a lot of name dropping of so many characters who played a part in Jimmy's life and career, but I couldn't connect the dots. I felt like I needed a playbook to keep track of who's who. That being said, I enjoyed lots of the facts about JB, and it sent me off in search of more information. It also made me want more. I appreciated the fact that it was very up to da [...]

  • A fun look at the life and musical career of singer/songwriter, Jimmy Buffet. Filled with the back stories of his many popular songs such as Margaritaville and A Pirate Looks at Forty. His fans known as Parrotheads will treasure this book.I read an advance copy and was not compensated.

Find out how much Jimmy really did live the life he sang about.Learn the inspiration behind many of the songs. Follow Jimmy the struggling musician, Jimmy the rising star, then the song he wrote in [...]

  • A good read“A Good Life All The Way” is a wonderful book that chronicles Jimmy Buffett’s career and life. There were many stories and interviews that shed light on many aspects of Buffett’s life. My problem is that for most of the book there is a logical play by play of the albums and stories behind the albums. Then in chapter 16 Mr. White lumps 10 albums and 3 books and just goes on without the same careful look that he had done for the last 255 pages. It seems to me that he was up agai [...]

  • A Good Read All the WayGreat stories about Jimmy Buffet, the Coral Reefer band, and the music scene around them from their beginnings to present. Well written and the stories paint the scene of what happened along the way.

  • A biography of Buffett for Parrotheads. Filled with tidbits about his life and music, including many (many!) references to the inspirations for his songs. While I really enjoyed it, I'm not sure anyone who is not a big fan would fully appreciate it. For fans, though, a must read.

  • A must read for any Parrot HeadA book as good as any dealing with how Jimmy Buffett became Margaritaville. I highly recommend it for even a casual fan of his.

  • “He could play it more, but then maybe he can’t. What’s worse, after all, not playing a song you love, or watching a basketball arena get up and go for more beer while you play the song you love?”

  • Parrot Heads are going to love this book about Buffett's life. It's a fun, easy read about a remarkable career. I'm not a huge fan of his, but like his stuff enough on occasion when I hear it. The book was interesting enough to hold my attention. He's had an amazing life, no doubt! I mean, I'd trade places in a heart beat! Who wouldn't? It's worth a read!
