  • I like the change from the typical 'medieval' fantasy. A quick and easy read, Doolan manages to weave a sword and sorcery tale with some great action sequences. The characters are a bit thin, but as an introduction to a fantasy world this is a great start. The story is a little predicable, but this doesn't really take away from the action.
