  • A pet peeve of mine: rhyming books that don't rhyme. This one had some stretches. I liked the simple, bright illustrations but the depiction of some of the natives, though sort of tiki retro, were questionable.

  • The poem was fun to read and it was fun to imagine the snowman spending his year in a tropical paradise, but the pictures were not my favorite.

  • My daughter and I LOVE this book. The illustrations are beautiful, the rhyming is wonderful, and I love how the city is transformed at the end.
